Email supportHow do I switch languages?
Use the flag and language control on Home, or choose a course in Profile. German, Russian and French have separate vocabulary progress.
How many new cards should I choose?
Start with 5, 10 or 15. Choose an amount you can comfortably revisit each day; due reviews are separate from new cards.
How do spaced reviews work?
Try to recall the answer before revealing it, then rate your recall honestly. Difficult words return sooner. A remembered word gradually moves to longer intervals.
Why are Russian letters still due after I meet them?
An introduction starts the learning process. Separate letter recalls return after 1 minute, 10 minutes, 1 day and 3 days as you remember them. Missed letters return sooner. Practising early does not skip those spaced steps.
Does the app grade my handwriting?
No. In listening and drawing practice, draw from memory, reveal the letter and compare it yourself. Rate whether you remembered it. There is no handwriting recognition.
Where are the Russian games?
Russian games unlock once all 33 letters are secured through spaced recall. The Letters tab then becomes Play, where you can return to alphabet practice.
Can I hide the Russian pronunciation guide?
Yes. Turn off the English-letter pronunciation guide in the app’s preferences when you are ready to read Cyrillic without it.
How can I improve the pronunciation voice?
Open the voice guidance in Profile for instructions on downloading Apple’s higher-quality voices in your device settings. Enhanced and Premium voices depend on your language and device; they may need a download before the app can use them.
How do reminders and backups work?
Study reminders need notification permission. You can manage that permission in iOS Settings. Use the backup export in Profile to save a copy of your progress before resetting data or moving devices. There is no KarteiDeck account or automatic account sync.
Is everything free?
All study features in version 3.1 are free, without in-app purchases. If you have a subscription from an older version, check your Apple account’s subscription settings to manage it. Support can help you find the right next step.
How do I report a word or a bug?
Email the language, word or screen involved, the app version and what happened. A screenshot can help. Please avoid sending private information or a full progress backup unless it is needed.
